Special Ability
Here's the information on Special Abilities in the Core Rules:
A Special Ability is a move or attack that can be used only once during a player's turn. A Special Ability cannot be countered by opposing Pokémon . Each Special Ability has a base power of 500. Each of a Special Ability's Pokémon types has an additional base power. Each Special Ability's Pokémon type is increased by an additional 200, and the number of of Special Abilities in a Special Ability is doubled.
Since Special Abilities deal damage to the opposing Pokémon , the loss of one of the player's Pokémon will usually be a critical blow.
The 4 Star Pokemon.
4 Star Pokémon on are very rare Pokémon . If you find one, or even if you discover that they are very near you, trade the creature. We will even set up a special work-around to make it easier for you.
This is the first stage of trade with 4 star Pokémon , and includes:
- 1 Poké Ball
- 4,000 Stardust
- 1 Mirror Ball (Pikachu/Eevee only)
- 3 Rare Candy
Take the Pokémon with you to your Pokémon League Competition, and a special ball can be unlocked for you. The special ball can also be traded to the member you traded it to.
After Trade
You can take the Pokémon with you to another continent and play the video game or collect the monthly news which tells you about other Pokémon you can find.

The 3 Star Pokémon in the Unova variant of the Pokémon Trading Card Game are determined at the time of entry, and are created with identical card stock except for three different striping patterns. Each of the 3 cards in each pack has one of these cards included, each card in a booster pack has two of these cards included, and a set of four cards is packaged in each of the starter decks.
Abra
(BB24) This dual-purpose Pokémon is the only known wild Pokémon that can learn the move Protect.
Deoxys
(FD1) A unique Pokémon that knows many of its own moves.
The 2 Star Pokemon.
There are the 2 rarest Pokémon that you can find in the United States. The first is Articuno, which is only seen in the northeast and midwest of the United States. The other Pokémon you can only find in the northeast is Lugia. In the northwest and California there are Smoochum and Espeon, which are both uncommon Pokémon .
How Many Pokemon Can I Catch in the United States?
You can only catch one Pokémon per each of the 10 regions. There are 7 regions in the US, along with two more that are disputed by the two regions.
As you move out of your region, you will start finding Pokémon in the wild but it is very unlikely that you will catch them.
